Aaron Vollmer, AIA
Founding Principal

As a Founding Principal, Aaron is involved in all aspects of the business bringing a balance of design talent, technical knowledge, and communication skills that are critical to project success. On a daily basis, he is fostering our relationships within the community and leading the business aspects of the firm. Aaron has an innate understanding of not only the business, but also the construction process, making him a valuable mentor to everyone on our team. Through his many years of practice Aaron has established a reputation for his thoughtful, collaborative and customer-centric approach to architecture.

Jean Pierre Trou, AIA, RID
Founding Principal

Jean Pierre has a passion for design, a strong business sense, and dedication to architecture that is critical to the success of Runa Workshop. Throughout his career, he has received national and international recognition for a number of projects, and been presented with numerous awards. As a Founding Principal of Runa Workshop and the head of its design department, Jean Pierre has amassed a diverse portfolio of successes across a vast array of projects.

 

Simon McGown, RA
Studio Director

Simon comes to us with a portfolio of diverse experiences that we feel will enhance every part of the Runa process, from the inside out. With a Graduate degree from Columbia University, Simon began his career at world-renowned architecture firm, Morphosis. From there he went on to owning his own Architecture firm in Harlem, New York, where he prides himself on having a client-centric approach. Aligned with our ethos, Simon believes in a highly collaborative approach to design and management where he leads with empathy and candor. As Studio Director, Simon will build upon our framework to emerge strategies that promote innovation and growth, allowing us to expand our practice in Austin and beyond.

Cathrine Tait, RA
Senior Project Architect

Over the course of her 15+ year career, Cathrine has led projects ranging in scale and spanning a variety of project types, particularly mixed use, workplace, and retail design. In her previous role, Cathrine served on an Equity by Design council, showing tremendous leadership abilities through her involvement and dedication to emerging professionals and their career trajectories. Cathrine prides herself on being able to synthesize project goals into a Program while providing the oversight to ensure that Program goals and requirements are met at every milestone. We could not be more thrilled to welcome Cathrine to the Runa team!

Jordan Coslett
Project Designer

Jordan Coslett, Project Designer, has been with Runa Workshop for over two years. Jordan brings a diverse background having graduated from the University of Kansas with a Masters in Architecture and Minor in Business. Since graduation, he has worked on several project types and is very well versed in BIM technologies. Feeling most gratified when using creative problem solving to find solutions, we welcome Jordan’s drive for collaboration and ability to think outside of the box.
